Why did the Jews “have no dealings with the Samaritans” (John 4:9)?
Answer:-They were a mixed race, for the Assyrians had sent many colonists thither. Their offer to join in the rebuilding of the temple was contemptuously rejected. They believed only the Pentateuch.
